Marriage the easy way. If you want to marry a member of a clan that is not a clan leader, it is much, MUCH easier to ask the clan leader directly to establish an alliance via marriage, than to try to convince the party involved to marry you themselves. You can sorta game the mechanic by offering a family member, then going and proposing to the person for yourself, and then when you go back to the clan leader and do the barter it will have both options for either you to marry them or your family member but so far it's only frozen when I do this. #3.
